Community Involvement
Vernie Foster is a member of St George Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, IL , and had a special dedication to the FOCCUS Ministry working with engaged couples for 20 years. Vernie and her husband, Bill, of over 49 years, shared with them a vision into the future of the practical side of marriage, and were involved in this ministry for over 20 years. Bill and Vernie are always ready to lend a helping hand to the neighbors in their community.
Vernie Foster was the Founder of a Christian Women's Group serving the needs of the Surrounding Kankakee, Will and Southern Cook County Areas.
Vernie Foster was on the Board of Directors for the KIFAR Association, serving as Treasurer for 2016-2019. She is still a member on the Program and Entertainment Committee and the Education Committee for the Association.
